the ganancials {biltmore winter session}

This family…what is there to say? They were my FIRST paying client. Lei took a chance on me when it seemed absolutely no one would. I had never taken a picture for money before (unless I had someone WAY more experienced with me…and I was assisting) and she asked me to take pictures of Sebby’s Christening. :pressure: But this family has stuck with me! Its Lei & Raimund who prompted the Biltmore Winter Sessions and I couldn’t be more happy that they did! I’m ridiculously proud and in LOVE with these pictures.

A little backstory: I have taken pictures for this family for about the last 3 years. Yet I have NEVER taken a picture of just Lei & Raimund together. No Sebby…just the two of them. It had never happened. I noticed this during my first session. “Crap!” I thought to myself. I didn’t get a picture of Lei & Raimund together, just the two of them. But soon I realized that thats just not how they roll. They are 100% a family of 3 and to not have Sebby in the picture seemed…odd. But little guy had a different plan during the Biltmore sessions. It was coooold to say the least. Once we were done taking our nice family pictures in front of the house we strapped Seb in his stroller and headed over to the Library Terrace. :mistake…or was it?: Sebby was so toasty and warm that he absolutely did not want to get out and away from the blanket. We tried…let me tell you. But it just wasn’t going to happen. So I used this time and make it a couple shoot. There were plenty of giggles to start, but soon, man! I couldn’t stop taking pictures! I stopped directing and just let them do what was natural. These pictures just capture my heart. 🙂

Obsessed. Seriously.

Sebby’s Two!!!

I am so SO far behind on posts that its kinda insane! I absolutely loved all of the sessions I had this summer, so I’m going to do a mega post as well as combine a couple of posts from repeat clients! Whoo hoo!!!
First up on the list is the Sebster (I think I will have a new name for him every time I see him). If you look WAY back in the posts, you will see where I was at this little guy’s Baptism, and then his 6 months, 1 year and so on! I have literally watch this adorable little guy grow up in front of my camera! And one thing I didn’t even realize (as pointed out by one of my besties, Bekah), YOU all have seen him grow up through my blog!!
I sincerely have to say that this is one of the sweetest and funniest families out there! Sebby absolutely cracks me up! I can’t wait until I get to see him, Lei and Raimund again! Hopefully soon…maybe some TOT?!?!
So for Sebby’s two year pictures, we decided to head out to Concord Park! The weather was absolutely beautiful and I was so excited for the shoot! WEll, it was a little bit early, and Sebby was a little bit on the quiet side so I thought it would be a brillant idea to go hang out on the playground (especially the swing set since I saw Sebby eyeing it). Oh Kayla…Sebby had such a great time on the swing set…that little Sebby didn’t want to get off. Whoops! He was a total trooper and stuck it out with me as long as possible. Afterwards, he got all the swing set he wanted! Lol!!! I also met up with the Ganancials for my Fall Mini sessions that happend back in October! They were so stinking cute and a great way to start off the day!
Ps….I absolutely LOVE this picture of Sebby. 😀
 Sweetest family picture ever! ❤
Come back tomorrow for round 2 of the Fall Mini Sessions! Bekah, Carson and Rider!
Sebby’s Two!!!

Sebby, a chair, and his awesome parents

December 12th…what?!? I am done with sessions until the end of the year (with one more to edit so keep an eye out) and I couldn’t be more proud. This year has been awesome to say the least. Especially since I got to see this little kiddo one more time! Sebby is now over a year old…I can’t even begin to believe it! I have literally been able to see him grow through my camera. 🙂
I had had this idea for Lei and Raimund that I really wanted to do a family session in a field. I even was lucky enough to score a chair from Something Borrowed to make the session even more awesome! I drove around for literally probably over an hour and 30 minutes trying to find a field that hadn’t been mowed. During my travels, I came to the conclusion that there needs to be a “Farmer’s Calendar” that all farmers stick to in regards to mowing…that way there are plenty of fields to choose from and I  know when they are/have been mowed. Who would have thought that there literally wasn’t ONE field that was nice and whispy!!!! But no, at least not within the Hardin Valley/Karns/Solway area. NONE…except for a field the size of my living room right next to an abandoned house. Seriously. I put a family with a small child in a field next to an abanonded house and barn. But hey…I will be going back here. This place is AWESOME! 🙂
Then a little handy dandyness came into play and I made a fun little banner for Sebby (which Lei snapped up before the end of the session! :))

I think this little kiddo is going to follow in his mom and dad’s footsteps.
Sebby is seriously the happiest baby EVER! If he gets fussy, its over in 2.5 seconds. Just enough for you to put all eyes on him and then he’s good! I even got some love during our session! 🙂

Ahhh…I seriously love this family so insanely much!
Stayed tuned around Christmas for a baby session I had involving Christmas lights, ornaments and a whole bunch of giggly smiles! 🙂
