I was thrilled to meet up with Olivia and Jessica for their super cute and fun session!! Its February, cold, dreary and oh so windy, but hey, that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a crazy awesome session! Little Miss Olivia was what I needed in this down time! She was soooo insanely cute and fun and just so bubbly!! Her mom told me that the last time they had pictures taken, Olivia just sat their and gave a scoul the whole time! Well, that definitely didn’t happen during out session! She was ready and WILLING to have her picture taken! We headed out to UT Arboretum for some fun! Luckily, this day was one of our few and far between sunny days! I think it actually got up to 57 degrees that day! 😀 Another photographer had shared with me a spot at the arboretum that I hadn’t ever shot at before, so I knew that I would want to take Olivia there! Man! Am I so happy I did!!!!
We decided to pick wheat and help with germination…lol! All Olivia’s words! She’s such a smarty!
I can’t get over this picture! I just love it!!!!
She had just so much spunk! The wheat in her hair was totally her idea!
We decided to end this super awesome session in one of my favorite areas of the park! I just let Olivia do her thing! She was seriously the cutest!
I had such a blast with Olivia, Jessica and Eva! You guys were SO much fun and just what I needed!!
Smiles,

The Question: Erin and Tommy

I had the awesome opportunity to photograph Erin and Tommy in June out in Oak Ridge. Not only did I get to play around in the UT Arboretum out in Oak Ridge but I got a guy who tends to be on the serious side to laugh and actually enjoy himself! Mission Accomplished!! 😉
Erin is currently a Grad student down in Georgia and Tommy is a computer programmer…I know…they are smarty pants! But believe it or not, I actually had a LOT to talk with Tommy about! Yay! Since Robby is a software engineer and I was in the IT recruiting world for a short while, I know the buzz words, and it actually holds some interest to me. So off we went, traipsing through the forest, taking pics and talking computer talk. I hope you guys enjoy this super fun and relax engagement shoot! Erin and Tommy, I hope you guys have the BEST wedding out Cumberland Mtn!!!
Seriously?? How about this ring? I love something that goes above and beyond the traditional engagement ring! Erin said she didn’t want a diamond…and Tommy listened and did a GREAT job!!
When I asked Tommy to tickle Erin…he was more than happy to do so! Adorable!!!
So stinking cute!!

The Question: Erin and Tommy

Baby Jack

I am so excited to share this post with you all! This little fella is one of the cutest little baby boys ever! It also helps that his parents are pretty cool too! Carla and I had to reschedule this session so many times that a newborn session quickly turned into a one month session…but hey, the baby totally dictates the session, and this little guy just wasn’t ready for his close up. But man oh man, it was totally worth the wait!
Jack had been battling some belly problems but his mom and dad knew exactly what to do to calm him down. It was so amazing to see a couple work in such tandem to help soothe their child. Case and point shown below!
This little guy is also a mover and a shaker…when we stopped moving he would start to wake up…so his dad turned on some awesome music and it calmed him right down!
Love these pictures of Tony and Jack!
I definitely didn’t plan on these photos turning out so similar, but I am in love with them. I could definitely see these in a double picture frame. 🙂
And lastly, these were literally the last three pictures on my camera for that session. Like I said earlier, sometimes the “subject” totally dictates the session. Jack was letting me know that he was done…but I got some funny pictures in the mean time! 🙂
Carla and Tony, I absolutely cannot wait to see Jack again! I am loving all of the UT gear he is sporting on Facebook! 🙂

The Tingle Bump

So I have been waiting and waiting (patiently I might add) to edit this session! I try and be good and edit everything as it comes in…no cutting in line, my elementary school teachers would be so proud!
Carla and I have known each other for a few years now; we are in a elite scrapbooking club together but haven’t seen each other in MONTHS!!! So let me tell you how surprised I was to find an email from Carla asking me to do a maternity session…FOR HER!! I was literally beside myself! As I read her long, very long, email, I realized that I HAD to do these pictures! I didn’t care where I needed to go and what I needed to do, I just had an overwhelming want to do this. So off I went to Oak Ridge…almost the day after getting the email! 🙂 Let me just say I almost died when I walked in Carla and Tony’s house! Seriously, if you guys don’t know how much I love the Biltmore…well, I don’t know what to say, but I obviously do; so when I saw this sofa…I literally almost tripped walking in the door! I instantly knew it was a winner…and to top it off; it came from Asheville…and there is almost, if not exactly, a sister to it IN THE BILTMORE!!! I almost died for the second time in 10 min! Anyway, on to the shoot…lets just say this sofa was my love affair for the next hour and a half! Throw in a beautiful momma-to-be and a smitten dad-to-be and I am a happy girl! Let me know what you guys think!

Now Carla and Tony already have a full house…5 dogs to be exact! This one was my buddy…I tried to stick him in the van, but he wouldn’t fit!

Love this happy family and can’t wait for the new little guy to get here!!
